Baton Roots is an urban farm and community garden located at BREC's Howell Park.
Community gardens that are open to the community, where Baton Roots host weekly planting demos teaching people how to grow their own food.
Hustle and Grow
A ten week program where youth will learn how to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers at the Baton Roots Farm. The program will focus on how the agricultural business works; from seed to table, while also learning the importance of stewardship and the impact that food access has on the health of their community.
Grow Baton Rouge is providing a unique series of mobile markets that provide fresh local produce directly to the community. Through the Geaux Get Healthy program, Grow Baton Rouge was able to expand the number of mobile market locations throughout the community.

Makin' Groceries Program
Affordable boxes of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood that will be delivered to convenient locations throughout the community.
Healthy Corner Store
This program is designed to support local corner stores in expanding the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables to the surrounding community. The program supports business owners with marketing, purchasing, business development, refrigeration, and access to fresh affordable produce.
